Conni and I LOVE wedding photography. Neither of us thinks that photography is a job, instead we view it as a passion. So we both spend tons of time thinking passionately about how we can push ourselves creatively. On this end we have done a few things over the years to expand our minds and enhance our photography. We attend many workshops, try many new techniques (some that make their way into our wedding photography and a few that totally bomb) and we participate in blog circles that force us to think different and creatively. One thing that we had never done though is enter in contests.
Entering in contests is scary. What if you put your work in front of a jury of your own peers and they don’t like it? There are SO many wonderful and talented Canadian wedding photographers, how could we even place? But Conni did place (I am entering my first contest this summer and I am both scared and excited). I am blessed to have such a wonderful and talented wedding photographer as a partner. Here are Conni’s images from the PWPC Spring 2014 Wedding Photography Contest. I am honored to work in an industry with an enormous pool of talent, and even more honored to have a partner like Conni!
